The way I met Julie and Arno is not the way I usually meet my bride and grooms, but I adored my time with them all the same. I received a phone call that this amazing couple’s original photographer fell through just 2 days before their big day! When I heard about what happened I knew I wanted the honor of capturing this special day for them! The Leslie-Alford-Mims house is a beautiful location that I haven’t had the pleasure of working with before and it didn’t disappoint. When I arrived on their wedding day, I had never met them, and they welcomed me with open arms and warm smiles. After only a few minutes I felt like I had known them much longer, and it was very obvious how excited they were to become husband and wife.

I loved every minute of their beautiful Leslie-Alford-Mims house wedding! Witnessing all the joy and love not just from the couple, but those that surround them as well was amazing. From Julies mom presenting her with a ring her grandmother was wearing when she arrived in this country, the bridesmaid’s reaction when she appeared in her dress for the first time, and the way her groom Arno looked at her while she walked down the aisle towards him were just a few of those special moments.

Even though I had only known them for such a short amount of time I cried during the father, daughter and mother son dances. It all started when her dad stepped on that dance floor already crying, and I couldn’t help but join in until both dances were done. You could feel the love that was there. I love the mixture of tears and laughter as you look through these images, as I think it gives you a wonderful depiction of their beautiful wedding day!

Julie and Arno, thank you again so much for allowing me to come in and be part of such a personal and special day. From the moment I met you, you and everyone around you made me feel like I was supposed to be there all along. I wish you both so much love and happiness for many years to come.
